In 1998, Dr Gurnaluse obtained a Diplomate in Homeopathy in the François Lamasson Institute of Sao Paulo (Brazil); and later on in Cuba, as well.
Rene Guarnaluse was hired by the Vice Ministry of Pharmacy as an expert in drug policy regarding complementary and alternative medicine in Havana.
Once in New York, USA, Dr Guarnaluse had a private practice as a complementary medicine physician in different cities of Westchester County among other endeavours like being part of the Sales Department of Visiting Nurses of NY, advisor of Health Education at Health Care centres.
In Spain D. Guarnaluse has validated his MD, and has had the opportunity to be involved with Public Health Care Centres, Emergency Services, Occupational Medicine, and Sports Medicine all in within the limits of the Valencian Community.

Dr Rene Guarnaluse Arce se graduó como médico en 1983 en la Universidad de Nicaragua, gracias a un acuerdo con la Universidad de la Havana. Después de completar su formación en el Hospital Hermanos Ameijeiras ,el Instituto Nacional de Endocrinología de la Havana en Cuba, obtuvo el título de especialista en Endocrinología y Nutrición.
Dr Guarnaluse fue el fundador y director del departamento de Endocrinología en el Hospital 10 de Octubre de la Havana durante más de once años.
Debido a la convicción de que la higiene en la salud es una parte fundamental en la práctica de la medicina se creó un centro asistencial para diabéticos. Después de un periodo de dos años como estudiante de un master en Biología en Psiquiatría en la Universidad McGill de Montreal y de dos diplomas en Homeopatía con equipos brasileños y cubano respectivamente, tuvo lugar una visión integral de la salud y de la enfermedad.
La perspectiva psicoendocrioinmunológica fue y está todavía a la vanguardia en nuestra profesión. Dr Guarnaluse fue contratado por el Viceministro de farmacia como un experto en política médica, teniendo en cuenta la medicina alternativa y creó el Centro Nacional de Medicina Complementaria y Alternativa en la Havana.
Una vez en Nueva York (USA), Dr Guarnaluse entre otras iniciativas tuvo una consulta privada como médico de medicina complementaria en diferentes ciudades del condado de Westchester, también formó parte del departamento de ventas de enfermeros visitadores de Nueva York y fue consejero de formación sanitaria en centros de educación sanitaria, etc.
